Spain wins World Cup 2010 against Netherlands
World Cup 2010 is over.
My thoughts? They deserved it.
Spain wins.
Don't misunderstand me. I really wished to for Netherlands to win, as I am dutch.
That being said, Spain didn't need the obvious help they got from Mr. Howard Webb (the match's referee). The Dutch played a very aggressive game in the beginning, and yes, De Jong should have been sent out on that street fighting kick he delivered on Alonso. But in the second half, the amount of non-existent fouls given to the spaniards really got ridiculous. Including the play that sent out Heitinga on a second yellow booking. The play that really gets on my nerves is not the goal by Iniesta. That was a actually a great -and valid- shot. It's the play that came before it. On Schneider's free kick, the ball clearly bounced on the wall (Fabregas) and what should've been a corner kick, became a goal kick. Unbelievable mistake by the referee, and one the Dutch payed for a minute later with Iniesta's goal. A sour note indeed for the Netherlands as they played a great World Cup.
Unfortunately, in the end, they just forgot what got them there. -

About past days, and decisions...
Well, quite some stuff happened these last days with my online accounts. I will now be closing my three previous posts on this blog, in order to get closure on what is now another stage of my life online. May the internet cache hold them in her memory.
That being said, nice things are about to arrive. I've been reading quite a lot of http://zenhabits.net/ and http://mnmlist.com/ and I feel quite confident about changes I've started implementing around my online and indeed, my real life. I'm pretty excited about this whole minimalist philosophy. To the people with whom I had great exchanges in Twitter, I say thanks, and bid you a very fond farewell. I will probably see you back, some other time.
Thanks.
